PSA: An Hour of Code Does NOT Only Take an Hour

I hung out with my girl Moana and tried out An Hour of Code.

Tried being the keyword in this post. I picked a coding game for grades 2-5 and apparently I am not smarter than a fifth grader because I only made it to level 16 and it definitely took me WAY longer than an hour.Screen Shot 2018-04-15 at 6.38.47 PM

Moana let me down easy when I just wasn’t getting it: Screen Shot 2018-04-15 at 6.06.43 PM

And she built me up when I CRUSHED IT:

When it first started I thought “this is easy peasy lemon squeezy”.

This coding thing ain’t no joke! This is such a good problem-solving activity for students. I love that it is a way to combine problem-solving with technology!

Although I gave up before receiving my certificate, I gave myself a certificate in my heart because I tried really hard!!

I will definitely use coding with my tiny humans in my future classroom.

SUPER DUPER COOL STUFF!
